A lot of people need to downshift expectations. The Lawsons aren't going to come in and average 20/10
I haven't seen anyone post that they would. But Dedric will start and average double figures and give us a 6'8" mobile big that we haven't had in years. KJ will be a huge upgrade off the bench.
BTW, do you know the last freshman to average 20/10?

my wife keeps asking me if any team has done what kentucky is doing this year
i had to show her that ucla won the championship 9 times in 10 years
and mainly because of a limited field (you had to win your conference (14 teams) and only 2 at large teams) and no shot clock ( and a lot of talent)
Don't forget that UCLA always played out West and never was challenged in those first two games of the four you had to win to get the title. They had a clear path to the Final Four every season in that run.

Without looking it up...I would imagine Keith Lee.
Those numbers get thrown around like they are expected from any high level recruit. Austin Nichols next year will likely average around 15 and 8.
And Hamilton was pretty dominant this season. Beat up a lot of really good teams...not sure the fact that the team they played in the state championship game playing them close after making a mess of threes somehow diminishes their dominance.

I imagine only Keith lee, if anyone.
I doubt the Lawson's are going to come in and be better than shaq or Austin. The 3 spot is open but is a freshman going to be better than a senior Burrell? I'd love for it to happen but every big time freshman recruit we've had under pastner has underperformed lofty expectations (joe, Barton, Adonis, Austin, shaq) they've been ok but none of them set the world on fire. I just think we're going to see the same thing again

Was the only freshman in the nation to average a double double that season.

He can't play the wing so who does he start over- Austin or senior Shaq?

RE: Hamilton wins State Championship over Brentwood 65-62
Why are we expecting these kids to make a difference in their first year ? There is nothing in past pastner teams that says they will be anywhere near ready in year one. It is not fair to ask them to play at that level. We had better have something else in the hat or it is going to be another bad season .

He is a stretch 4, which means he CAN play the 3 depending on match ups.
