LA Tech is executing everything. Have they failed on a bunt yet?

Why do we post pitch speeds when a new Owl pitcher is warming up?

Nice job by Glenn to keep it a 1 run game!

Need a couple of runs and Leon leads off with a single to left!

But LOVE IT when OUR leadoff runner gets on. Especially in B9.

Reeves bunts (!!) ... the throw to 2nd is wide. Safe. Whew!!!

Wunderlich pinch runs for Reeves.

Tekyl at the plate .... squares to bunt. Pulls it back. Ball one.
Outside ... ball two.
Squares around to bunt ... takes a strike.
Squares again ... pulls it back. Ball 3. 3-1 count.
Conference between Tekyl & WG.
Squares again. Takes the pitch. Called strike! 3-2 count.
Outside!! Ball 4. Bases are loaded. NO OUT.

Go Owls!!!

Terrible bunt by JC. LT P bails him out with a worse throw.

Warren up.

First pitch ... down the middle. Called strike.
Ground ball to second ... forceout at home. That's all.

"If (the catcher had) wheeled and thrown thrown to third, he might have gotten a second out."

Lewis up.

First pitch --- low and outside. Ball one.
"On the corner. 1 & 1."
High. Ball 2.
Outside. 3 -1. "And as they say, there's nowhere to put him."
Fouled back. 3-2.
Ground ball back up the middle. That will score one run! That will ..... score TWO runs!!"

"Owls win in a walkoff!"

WooHoo!!! Whew!!

"The throw from center field was just up the line. Tekyl was able to get under that throw for the winning run."

Agreed. I love the character of this team. Third come-from-behind late game in the last four games. And the Byrdman once again gets the late rally started, with Lewis getting his first game-winner and first walk-off as an Owl.

LaTech didn't do much hitting wise, but they scored 7 runs largely due to 5 ill-timed free passes, a three ill-timed wild pitches, a critical two-base error and two, two-out steals of home (with the 3rd out coming on the delayed caught stealing of 2B).

On our side, we simply have to score more than 8 runs on 15 hits (3 doubles), 3 BBs and 4 errors by the opposing team). Our inability to sacrifice runners over is absolutely killing us.

Can we please make tomorrow a laugher, for the sake of all of our health. Go Owls!

We cannot continue to let

How many more runs would we have scored had we gotten sacrifices down? What would you estimate? If nothing else, assume (and I know this is a bad assumption, but it's all we have) that the subsequent at-bats played out as they did?
