Tournament Finals are Set
Ohio vs Eastern Michigan in the women's final.

Buffalo vs Central Michigan in the men's final.

Let's do this!

Many props to the Zips. To be playing their fourth game and five nights and to come up with that effort is so impressive. Dambrot is such an incredible coach, but we already knew that.

Looking forward to tomorrow night's game. Fowler scares me to death, and UB played less than impressive bball tonight. Hoping we get the monkey off our back.

MAC Tournament Finals-
CMU- 1987, 1990, 2003
Buffalo- 2005, 2009

MAC Tournament Championships-
CMU- 1987, 2003
Buffalo- N/A

NCAA Tournament Appearances-
CMU- 1975(2-1), 1977(0-1), 1987(0-1), 2003(1-1)
Buffalo- N/A

Winning the MACC and going to the Dance is a big deal for any team but for these two programs in particular its going to be a really, really big deal. Best of luck to both.

Last year I thought Brown was better than Fowler by a hair. No more. What a great player. And great coach as well. Congrats, Chips and Bulls.

UB was the scariest team for me all year. Maybe it should have been CMU... but good luck to both squads. Each will have a great chance of an upset in the NCAA's. I say UB by 1. But wow will it be a doozy.

I agree . Either of those teams have the pieces to pull a first round upset if they get even just a halfway fair draw in the bracket. Go MAC!

RE: Tournament Finals are Set
Never imagined we would be playing in this game back in November. But here we are.

Buffalo has athletes galore; we beat them twice this year but they're a difficult matchup for us. Their forwards scare the hell out of me. We need to shoot the three well and hold our own on the boards to have a shot. Simons was a no-show in the game at UB, that can't happen today.

Fire Up Chips!!!

I said earlier, we could be playing against Grambling State and I would be worried. Both teams know what is at stake here. CMU has UB's number thus far and hopefully we can again.

RE: Tournament Finals are Set
It's best case scenario for the MAC seed this year. UB should get 13, CMU maybe a 13 or 14. Depending on what they do with the 12s--at-larges sent to Dayton--if they have a 12 for another team, UB would have a shot. The other teams who went to Cleveland would have gotten 14-15 seeds, maybe even 16 for the 100+ teams, and it would have been very ugly in the tourney.

17-14 Ohio at the under 8. Both teams have been fighting nerves early on and it's been a little helter-skelter.

RE: Tournament Finals are Set
UB if they win will have that extra win they needed to really be in bubble contention. But winning this game would mean they are in anyways. I think they can get a 11/12 seed if they take care of CMU. But i dont know how many of those spots are open for non bubble play in teams. They should be on an 11-12 line ish with a 50somethin bpi and other rankings with a 30 somethin rpi. Again.... Not going anywhere with a loss, but with a win they will be granted the best seed by far of all the MAC schools.

Akron and EMU would have.

27-25 EMU at the half. Ohio went on a long scoring drought but started to pick it up near the end. They'll want to keep the pace up and pound at those tired Eagle legs.
