MAC Basketball - All-Time Lineups
Interesting...

Quote:With NCAA Tournament aspirations rapidly disappearing for MAC schools, Hustle Belt writers were asked what team they would put on the floor if they could assemble a squad from every player in school history. Here's what we came up with. Tell us we're wrong.

What if we played the MAC Tournament with all-time lineups?

CMU's lineup in this scenario seems right.

I would substitute Eric Thomas for Justin Greene.

Similar thought, but I would sub Haminn Quaintance. That's if we're picking the best team, not necessarily the best five players. I want an interior defender.

I thought about him as well. He would be in the rotation for sure.

What about Melvin "Sugar" McLaughlin? One of the best shooting guards I've ever seen in this conference.

I never saw either he or McElroy play, so I couldn't say which was better.

Also, I would take Jeremiah Wood over Romeo Travis.

RE: MAC Basketball - All-Time Lineups
For Ohio are we talking NBA lottery picks or MAC and NCAA tournament results. Luckett, Jamerson, Graham and Hunter were all NBA players, but players like Fears, Bassett, Walt Offutt, Sonny Troutman, Leon Williams had monster tournament performances. I didn't even consider the Danny Nee teams, the several NCAA teams in the late 60's and 1970's ,the 1963 elite eight team, or the 1941 NIT runner up team.

Yeah - there is no way ET would make a top 5 players all-time at Kent State. Or as this thread is asking for, top team to put on the floor. I also might sub in Al Fisher for Mitchell.
