Talty brings up a great point here. You would think hosting the premier CUSA event would be an excellent networking opportunity with the CUSA leadership and other school's ADs/Presidents if Watts were truly concerned about keeping us in CUSA.

How is it that this article has been up all day and none of the normal anti-UAB, pro-Watts folks have lit it up?

Why should he? Lucas was there, handling the situation as a perfect ingenue, and according to Twitter, flipping off folks chanting "Free UAB!"

I find that to be a pretty shocking accusation. Not because of Lucas' alleged stance for or against the football decision, but because I find it extremely hard to believe someone in her position would do that in that environment.

A Fire Lucas shout might have rattled her against using her better judgement. I would hope the Provost of UAB could avoid flipping off UAB students at the CUSA championship we are hosting though.

Nice to see the news calling out Watts absence during the tournament. Evene though the counter point is that his presence would take away from the team. But, seeing that his mere presence at UAB takes away from everything, he should show up and be a man about it.

Why is this thread up. haven't you heard? Any football or Watts related threads are depressing and take away from the basketball team.

I find nothing hard to believe with this situation.

But, you got to admit though. Confidence for the current UAB administration is pretty low, when we read this and think it sounds plausible.
