Dear Friends,
Is this thread about baseball or a weather channel thread? There hasn't been one statement about baseball.

Both. Start of the game 32 light wind mostly from the north. The guys lost 3-1 and lost the series 1-2 not a good start. The pitching looked better than last year and errors so far are way down. Hitting seems to be the main problem. Slugging per centage isn't good at all07-coffee3

RE: baseball
Conference play hasn't exactly been impressive, thus far. 4-8 in MAC.

BUT, as per usual, EMU takes down Michigan today in Ann Arbor, 4-2. scUM did take the game during the first meeting, however. Although, since 2011 EMU is 8-2 against Michigan. Hasn't been too much to write home about the past few seasons, but 8-2 against the Wolverines will always make me proud. 04-rock

Yes, it is good to beat uofm. But mid-season, non-conference games are played in different ways than conference games. Teams must keep their pitching staffs ready for conference games that are a day or two away and we saw that yesterday. Uofm used seven pitchers and EMU five even though it was a low scoring game.

Sounds O/T, but this is a reason bracket busters in hoops went down:

Fans hope for a top drawer opponent and national television.

Coaches want to concentrate on conference games. To them, playing a top team in bracket busters could lead to a let down the next conference game.
