Really impressed by how even keel your players and coaches were while getting ECU's best shot. Never saw any panic or finger pointing at all. Very poised group. I think that could serve them well in the NCAAs. 04-cheers

RE: Congrats Mustangs
Yep, SMU is very much a LB coached bunch.

It's so funny to see LB now in comparison to when I had season tix to the then-Bobcats. Brown is still a big time yeller, but man ya'll should've seen him 5 years ago you could hear him SCREAMING from 15 rows up in an arena with 16000 people in it. And then at that rate look back at the way he was when he was coaching AI. He has really mellowed big time, and the players you can tell have so much respect for him. Top 5 basketball mind to ever walk this planet. SMU and The American are very, very lucky to have him.

I remember when he was coaching in Charlotte, HE was the team's prime advertising piece. Not a player, Larry Brown used to be on the billboards, posters, etc. And the city actually responded very well because Larry Brown is a godlike figure in the Carolinas because of his loyalty and similarity to Dean Smith despite never being the head man in Chapel Hill.

RE: Congrats Mustangs
If it makes you better you made a lot of SMU fans pee their pants and several are still complaining on ponyfans. As I've said I think SMU did a lot of things right and we still had to dig deep. For example, I'm not sure SMU surrendered a single point off an offensive set to an ECU big man. RESPECT for ECU.
