LA Tech had a very nice crowd --and a great pep band-- at tonight's victory over Rice.

other than WKU, I thought we have more fans and cheer team at the game than anyone else.

Today's game was impacted by the ladies' game occurring at the same time for most of it. Nobody really expected us to win as well so that has been a factor. We should have a sizable crowd tomorrow for both games.

Yeah MTSU had as many at the women's game as Tech. Between the two of us we filled one side of the lower bowl and had some in the upper. Mostly folks from other schools on the other side.

It appeared that the average age of the La Tech fans was about 80. You could hear a pin drop during the Rice game. WKU fans were loud and in to it.

If WKU would have made it to the weekend our crowd would have doubled if not tripled. Too many people can't come until after work week is over

That's often the demographic that can travel during the week and has the money to do so.

on an extended tangent, would an UTEP MBB tourney championship, add cause to them leaving CUSA for MountainWest (with whom? NMSU?)...and starting the next domino train?
The Big 12 is going to add, would the MW act first?

Thanks you but we will never be admitted to the Big12. But it's the thought that counts.

As for UTEP being invited to the Mwc I don't know if the Prez and AD have changed their minds about being in a Western conference instead of a Texas-centric conference.

Perhaps if it was Ootsa and us there's a chance but never would UTEP be in the same conference as Enemas U. unless some sinister entity would destroy the world if we didn't join with them. I don't think Isis cares either way, LOL.

I know in football except for Boysee Cusa is still the better conference. In basketball we still have a LOT of work to do. But I still like it here.

UTEP has reportedly had two unofficial invites to the MWC. If we were ever to receive another, it would because BYU wants to return to the MWC and that the conference would want an even number. That, or Hawaii drops football.
