Stunner. Won't matter if we don't beat CMU but I wasn't sure who I wanted. I think this is OK but I was hoping for an easy Rocket win and a tense, leg crushing dual between Kent and Buffalo. I think Buffalo has an easy trip to the Finals now, but Dambrodt sure has Akron playing well.

Akron will definitely have a homefield advantage over Buffalo

Tomorrow will be Akron's fourth game in five nights which looks to favor Buffalo, but will a week layoff affect Buffalo?

Hope so. We seem to have Akron's number. Buffalo's, too, but I prefer a whipped Zip to a bunch of fresh Bull.

RE: Kent/akron
since the tournament format changed the only time the top 2 seeds weren't in the finals was when #3 Ohio beat #2 UB in 2012. Conversely, since the change on the women's side the #1 seed has only won 1 game. The men don't like the format because the lower seeds get too tired and the women don't like the format because the higher seeds get too rusty.

Wow. I'll be shocked if akron has any gas left in the tank. Gotta hand it to them for an incredible run after a terrible end to the regular season.

Yeah Im in agreement that Akron will be running on empty- but best place to rebound against that is when your fans outnumber the opponent exponentially.

I cant say who *clouds clear Toledo beats CMU* I'd want to play more Akron or Buffalo- I suppose Akron because of playing so many games, but we do seem to have Buffalo's number too lately.

No non top 4 team has made the finals in this format, so akrons has the deck stacked against them. They've been playing stifling d though.

Thought they were done when kent went up 13 late in the first half last night. Incredible.
