And honestly most ETSU fans you talk to don't harbor ill will towards him, I'm honestly disappointed he wasn't offered a spot in the athletic department. At some point the hatchet will have to be buried and he put in our hall of fame because he won a ton of ball games, just not any against power conference teams.
He got paid really well at ETSU, and had time left on his deal that's being paid out. I wouldn't be shocked to see him covering college basketball, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him on a sideline somewhere, next year. He had just run his course at ETSU.

At two different schools now, he has been just good enough to stick around for awhile. Not good enough to get a better job and not bad enough to get fired for awhile. He was extremely disliked here at the end of his stay, but over the years, we have forgotten some of that bitterness. I suspect his last name has something to do with that.

He might be an interesting candidate for UAB's AD job. On the one hand, his tie to his father might bring back some of the old money. On the other hand, he is extremely stubborn and somewhat of a control freak, and that would grow old quick.

I suggested Mike Davis on the ETSU board. Have to go back over there to see the response to that.
