We'll be lucky to keep her five years because she's young enough to make another big jump. Still, I think she can make a big difference in that time.

I do too, if UT can keep the community from sounding like Neanderthals with "female" jokes, ....not that I'm targeting anyone.... on this thread..... in the posts just above mine.

That would just be a coincidence. 03-shhhh

No joke. She's the best we've had. It's about time in my opinion. Sixteen prior presidents and no women? Who's the Neanderthals? Maybe people who haven't selected a female before. Doh!

Maybe she can provide insight that will help the Rockets beat the Razorbacks in September.

She still could be anti sports..... a lot of the Toledo Women's BB fans are pro basketball but not pro men's basketball. I watch them between games all the time even when it costs them nothing to stay and watch and support the men.....

During her interviews she emphasized the importance of athletics to the university.
I think its a stretch to say a lot of the women's fans don't support the men. Some, yes, but not a lot. I would say a lot of men's fans don't support the women.

I don't know the "exact" number but I do see them getting up and leaving Savage...... I also agree many, some, a lot, etc.... men's fans do not "actively" support the Women's teams either. Personally, I don't understand both groups that do that.... Toledo IS Toledo, whether it's the men or women playing!!!!!! and I expect both to win......

I did not see or read much of any of the candidate's interviews or press conferences. So I don't know the answers firsthand.

There were no questions about sports.

I'm not sure she made her comments in response to a specific question. She did say that sports create excitement among the university community. She also stated that alumni and others are more willing to contribute when athletics are successful.
