Yep. I know they were excited to help with the cause, especially with the rally in Montgomery today, but should have kept it in their pocket until game time.

They (admin/DC) probably brought more attention to it than it would have gotten otherwise. The folks they are trying to convince are probably folks that don't pay a lot of attention to twitter. They made it a big issue which only continues to bring attention the powers that be would prefer to die. A smarter decision would have been to say nothing and just cancel the game(as they did). So, as you can see, mistakes are being made on all sides...people aren't necessarily smarter just because you pay them to be...

Maybe a sticker labeled Ray Watts as a facetious gesture.

The fact that the helmets never made it to the field is not that big of a deal. The game wasn't televised. The photo served it's purpose. It went nuts in the local media and even had that scrub best writer for Bana tweeting about it.
