of course. just asinine. I posted about 15 minutes or so ago for instance the updated #1's for Nova and them getting up by 1- which of course is great news... must be out- at least I hope that is what it is...

Thats crazy. You may not be as "optimistic" as some but you certainly arent offensive or a trouble maker

what's even worse, it's just indefinite. He turns it on moderated and never looks back. what a joke.

RE: conference tourney
So Nova wins it all. should be the 2nd #1 seed behind only Kentucky. Man I would love to see Kentucky/Nova for the title with Kentucky at 39-0. Now THAT would be a story!!!!

Stever, nice job with your picks. There's no denying you know your college basketball pretty well.

Thanks. If it wasn't for Seton Hall and St John's, I would have had a perfect bracket. Ahh well.

Nova looks really good. I really am hoping that we see them and Kentucky for the final- I think that would be a story that would be huge- and would propel the Big East in some ways back to where we were years ago. I'm actually starting to warm to the smaller conference- seeing these larger conferences just is incredible. I mean in 3 of the 14-15 team conferences now- ACC, SEC, and Big Ten- the title game is a game between teams that only played once. In some ways, it's starting to feel a bit like it did 20 years ago, when the conference only had 10 teams.

Villanova/ Kentucky would be fun. Would bring back memories of Nova/ Georgetown in 85 as another David vs Goliath type game. Not impossible that Nova could win if they keep shooting the ball the way they have been.

for sure. And I can not imagine another possible final for Kentucky that would match the build up that a game with Nova would have- especially with it being the 30 year anniversary of their perfect game against Georgetown.

I think it was actually good for Nova- really they had 3 games- but only 1 in which they were really even close to being tested. Tonight's game was very anti-climatic after the incredible sf's we had on Friday.

RE: conference tourney
Is it me or did this year feel the most like old school Big East basketball in ages? I mean the 16 team format was great, but I'll admit something was missing.

RE: conference tourney
Maybe this year since realignment has settled down more people are aware of which school ended up where and have come to realize the BE still has quality programs?

No I don't think it was that. I think maybe part of it was only having 3.5 days rather than 5 days. It felt more like the old days(and by that I'm talking early 90's) than it's been. Maybe less is more(despite what I had been arguing!)

Great day for the Big East. Some tough brackets but still...

And blows my mind how folks are over there on the other board. Talk about jilted ex-girl friends.

There are better chances for success in the tournament this year than last year. I hope to see a few teams on the second weekend.

I love Nova's trek.
Xavier- BYU/Ole Miss won't be easy, and then Baylor- ouch.
Butler- Texas, Notre Dame. Ouch.
Providence- Dayton(in Columbus)/Oklahoma- like it if they can get by Dayton.
Georgetown- E Washington/Utah- should be pretty decent.
St John's- San Diego St/Duke. Ouch.

Think Nova/PC/Georgetown the best bets. Not counting on Butler/Xavier/St John's much at all.

RE: conference tourney
For those that think Fox is so great and being off ESPN is awesome...
The title game between Xavier and Nova got a 0.28 rating. Down 33% from last year's 0.42.
By far the lowest rated conference championship game. The other lowest was the 1.20 that the MWC and A10 both got.
