According to ESPN Dayton scores 69 points a game to UC's 62.
Thats what matters right there.
Lets use business as an analogy...
Ppg is like profit dollars
Offensive Efficiency is like profit margin
While profit margin is an important metric, you dont deposit profit margin, you deposit profit dollars.
At the end if the game Dayton scores more than UC. I dont care who was more efficient. You win games by out scoring your opponent.
Dayton has a better offense.
If UC averages 69ppg we would have more wins.

That sounds like the interim coach in Hoosiers. "You can't score if you don't shoot."
UC could easily speed up and play looser defense and score 10 more points a game. But they might give up 20 more points a game doing so.
I don't care if UC scores more points per game, I care if they outscore their opponents by more points per game.

Terrible, nonsensical analogy.
PPG is nothing like profit dollars. Because profit dollars factors in expenses and revenues. PPG only deals with how many points who score. Points you score is highly dependent on pace of play (as is points you give up). VMI is 5th in the country in PPG but not very good in offensive efficiency. The goal of the game is the outscore your opponents, guess which one correlates closer to VMI's success on the court (hint it isn't points per game).
Margin of victory would be a reasonable comparison to something like total profits and Offensive efficiency correlates far more to margin of victory that ppg. points per game by itself tells you very little.

It's amazing how some people deny the existence of basic math

I had ISU out in the second round. The B12 was overrated this year. I have one B12 team in the sweet 16
