Regular season tix were $18. I doubt tournament fix will only be $10. Maybe $15.

True but regular season games already had a significant number of tickets sold through season tickets. In this situation you will have less than a week to make at least 3.5k in ticket sales. Wilmington folks are notoriously frugal when it comes to sports spending so you cannot price them out. Thats why i figured $10 a ticket. Guaranteees a good crowd and enough to at least cover cost of tourny fee. You may be able to get away with $15 but $10 is a nice round number that's more marketable

The host teams help pay the visitors travel expenses with their ticket sales. Or the guaranteed $30,000. Which ever works.

I believe part of the 30k hosting fee goes to the visitors to help pay for travel. UNCW v high point would be a very good regional first round matchup

Hey moderator. Can we get a poll going to see who's shocked by this?

I in fact did have tickets to about have the games this season and went to one game.Gotta make living and I have been out of town a ton this year..I would also not pay to see anybody play in these tournaments-it has nothing to do with UNCW.

UNCW basketball is UNCW basketball. I don't care if the tournament is sponsored and ran by Huggies diapers. If I could, I'd pay to see it.

Exactly. We only had two non-conference home games against Division I opponents this year. It'd be nice to add a bonus home game if we can land it. Or if we want to save money and hit the road, I'm cool with that too.

In my mind, a home game would be a reward for the Seniors and fans. Road game(s) would be more about preparation for the underclassmen. Both are fine options.

I doubt the seniors even care whether it's a home or road game either. They just want to keep playing together and showing what they have become, I'd imagine.

I would have to agree with all of that statement. Those three would probably do most anything to suit up again. Home - road, it doesn't matter. They just want to play. And I don't blame them.

RE: CIT/CBI
I've been monitoring http://www.uncwsports.com all morning and still haven't seen any news break about post season play yet. I'd imagine it's definitely happening after the recent comments from Jimmy Bass and Coach K, but just waiting to see if it will be a road/home game.

No news yet makes me think they're seriously contemplating the logistics/economic feasibility of a home game.

Not sure about the rules on that, but I'd assume they should be allowed to continue practices until a firm decision has been made on post season play.
