Ohio Girls BB Playoffs
Looks like both Notre Dame (Kaayla McIntyre) and Tippecanoe (Halee Printz) have won their districts and advanced to the regionals. ND is in Div I, Tipp is in Div II. They both play Tuesday 3/10:

Tippecanoe plays Kenton Ridge at Springfield HS (Dayton area)

Notre Dame plays Magnificat at Norwalk HS.

UT is getting two players who are used to winning, which is always a good thing.

Tippercanoe dominated McNicholas from beginning to end, winning 68-23.
The McNicolas Rockets double- and triple-teaming Printz when she’d drive the lane, the senior simply found whoever was left open — and it didn’t matter who that was, because all of the Red Devils stepped up as 10 players scored in the game. Printz had a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists.

Rogers beat Central Catholic tonight in the DII district final. Every starter for Rogers is a DI commit. One is committed to Cincinnati, another to Xavier. 3 more are committed to Michigan. Wow! And not a single one is a senior, so look out for Rogers to be even better next year. CCHS has a verbal commit to Northwestern who's just a junior.

Notre Dame & Tipp both won on Tues and are headed to the regional finals.

Kaayla McIntyre scored 25 of Notre Dame's 47 points in their victory: http://www.bcsn.tv/news_article/show/489194

Halee Printz scored 22 & had 12 boards in Tipp's win. She also set school records for points in a season and a career during the game: http://tdn-net.com/news/localsports-spor...for-Printz

At least two incoming Rockets are their school's career scoring leaders. The young man from Evansville ( Sanford?) and Printz. I think the two classes of Rockets may be the best combined group in a long time.

Tipp now runs into the odds on favorite in the division, Kettering Alter. Alter beat Rogers by one in OT earlier in the year (as I recall).

Rogers next plays a tough Bellevue team with BG recruit Santoro.

It would be nice to develop a Rogers-pipeline in women's basketball similar to football.

Tippecanoe's undefeated season came to an end in the regional finals losing to undefeated & #1-ranked Kettering Alter.

Halee Printz was named district player of the year: http://fairborndailyherald.com/news/spor...irls-teams

Putting it mildly. Wasn't even a game.

Rogers gets by Bellevue and BG recruit Santoro (25pts) but loses a starter to an injury. One more game to go to get the rematch with Alter, which would be the championship game.
