Agreed, they were both completely out of control on that break.

I think they lost the main feed and are in a fallback mode.

RATS! Another tough loss but the guys played their butts off. Just a couple of plays short of another big road win. Will now be interesting to see how the standings look after tonight and who we draw in the tournament

Wow just can't get anything to fall after we had the 3 shots at 3. Had the looks but just no luck. The two FT's that the UTEP guys were amazed that went in and we didn't see hurt as well.

RE: Men's Basketball at UTEP
So UTSA beat UNT today and Rice ended up tied with both of those teams at 8-10 (and others could be 8-10 too). But if it's a 3-way tie with those teams, how would the tie-breaker work. UTSA swept UNT so head-to-head wouldn't do anything. Would they look at best wins after that?

ETA - I could see MT getting a win tonight to get to 9-9. And Marshall could easily beat FAU so that would be another 8-10 team. I'll predict FIU loses at UAB so they end 7-11. And if all that is correct, I'm not for sure but I think we might end up being the 10 seed (because UNT has a win over Louisiana Tech and UTSA has a win over ODU, which trumps our best win - UAB). I'll predict we end up 10th and face 7th seed UNT in the opening game with both teams having the identical conference record.

RE: Men's Basketball at UTEP
If we face UNT in the first round I kind of like that draw. We didn't play our best in either game and perhaps they might overlook us since they swept the series. On the downside UNT was one of the teams where the athleticism and length difference between us and them was really evident.

RE: Men's Basketball at UTEP
Middle Tennessee did win easily so they finished 9-9 and in 6th place all alone. Charlotte 'upset' Marshall so both of those teams ended up 7-11. FIU leads UAB by 5 at the half. If they hold on and win, then Rice will be in a 4-way tie for 7th place. If UAB comes back to win, it's a 3-way tie. I think (??) we'll either be the 9 or 10 seed, depending on whether FIU wins. And possibly playing either UNT or UTSA on Wednesday?
