I would attend games and support my school. When I feel any coach needs to be fired, I contact university officials privately and express my opinion. Note that Tic was quickly fired when necessary without fans "voting with their feet" or complaining on message boards.

Why don't you take your own advice in regards to color schemes? Funny how the trigger was finally pulled on Tommy West when only 4100 showed up for ECU. And lack of donations is what finally doomed Larry Finch. If it had been left up to "good fans" like you Larry would have stayed until he had a stroke on the bench.

2). Josh's teams getting punked-out against physical teams
3). Josh's teams having no sense of mental toughness.
4). Blaming the players
5). Underachieving with good talent.

Those who are critical of Josh are not "crazy". We do have valid reasons for being critical. Most of us were huge Josh supporters at some point but have lost faith in CJP as a coach over the years because of the above reasons.

Now last night's game was an effort that most fans would be proud of. For the most part we played solid defense and we did not back down on offense. Now we also know that UCONN is not your typical UConn. However, the defensive effort and the offensive aggressiveness were both areas that showed improvement. Good game coach Pastner.

Miserables don't get to decide who gets hired or fired...a fans job is to cheer for the team.

and a miserable's job is to cheer for an $EC team

Some people try to deflect any criticism of Pastner's coaching ability because they think he's an upstanding man of character. That's fine. What tickles me is how they do it by parroting the same term and delusional behavior used by his predecessor, who was the antithesis of that. 03-lmfao Doe.

Firing a coach who has won 72% of his games and gone to 4 straight NCAA tournaments with a huge buyout would indicate that the expectations are probably a little too high at Memphis. Coaches would consider that among other factors. It's silly to say it wouldn't affect a coaches decision to come here.

Coaches are smarter than to buy the 72% argument. They know the level of competition. They know whether or not they can achieve more or less than Pastner. The issue would be if they are in a good situation. The idea that this ISN'T a business is silly. A coach is not going to set themselves up to fail, ie following Cal. But they are also going to know WHY Pastner has the gaudy stats he has. Give these guys credit greater than the average middle school student.

When was last time someone tried to lure away our future HOF coach?

Don't you guys think that anyone can go to Sweet 16's every year here? It is the ultimate good situation. Only Pastner can't do it.

Every year. No. I mean at a school either equal or ahead of us on the food chain, or prepared to leap frog us with their next job (ie Shaka smart).

I'm sorry, I don't I derstand your point. None of those hires had anything to do with the treatment of the coach preceding them. Calipari's success and sanctions hampered that search, but that is a completely different situation tha. We are in now. Maybe we can't pay enough is relevant. Maybe we aren't as an attractive job is relevant. Maybe their wife likes the current city is relevant. But they fired a coach who wasn't advancing in the tournament despite winning an easier conference is NOT relevant. Anyone who would be considered for the job would already know the competing arguments and be able to judge for themselves.

You could always start a petition. I heard a D2 team did that last year and got a new coach.

They probably all sound the same to you because I'm using American English. I'll try to supply Canadian subtitles on any future ones I think you might be interested in.
