Agree with most in the comments section that the NCAA is inconsistent at best. I don't think I could make this s^&t up if I tried.

Crap on a cracker.
Say what you want about our program, it's clean and I don't think anyone doubts that.

10 schollies a year for 4 years will destroy their program.

I wonder what they have cooked up for UNC...

Yeah I think we all would. Winning cleanly beats losing cleanly. Just pointing out that I don't pick up the ca every morning wondering if today's the day the truth comes to light.

How much money is this?

"The school must return to the NCAA all funds it has received to date through the former Big East Conference revenue sharing for its appearances in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament."

And when they say that the head coach failed to monitor its staff, did that include failed to monitor Bernie Fine's relationships with the ball boys? I guess that's not included, since they couldn't bring up charges.

Yeah North Carolina should get it a lot worse for some reason I'm sure they will get around it can't punish the blue bloods. UK, Duke, Carolina and Kansas are prob untouchables. It's a joke.

Yea losing scholleys has gotta hurt. I suppose they can give players other kinds of scholleys or pay for somebody's younger cousin's tuition.

I don't know. I'm sure i could think of many, if called upon...lol. But I guess it will take more creativity to get good players.

Or you could be kentucky who is clean and winning big. Their players have never signed with sports agents nor do they accept cars nor do they get grades changed. Their coach and his sports agent is clean, it was only memphis and umass that was dirty. The ncaa will continue to cash in on kentucky's popularity. It's all good for them !!!

How was it dirty at Memphis?

I believe the season was vacated over an invalidated test score.

Because the ncaa said so. The ncaa showed more than enough evidence that drose didn't take his test and memphis let his brother fly for free. We were out of control here, luckily the ncaa didn't dig further. That sh it won't happen at kentucky, because calipari and his sports agent are totally clean and would never cheat.

We have a reputation of being a "dirty" program. As long as we have this reputation, the NCAA will always find something to hit us with anytime we have big time success.

It's like holding in football - you can ding any DI program you want if you dig a little.

RE: Syracuse hammered by NCAA
Btw, i'm being sarcastic if you haven't figured it out, but that is basically what the ncaa wants you to believe. Would you believe that drose's ex high school teammate, kevin johnson, is an outstanding citizen, and he will tell nothing but the truth to the ncaa?

What pi$$es me off is that so many memphis fans went along with it. We got shafted by the ncaa big time, and the process started about a year before calipari left. Basically, what wasn't good for memphis is fine at kentucky.

I could give a sh it about syracuse. They didn't lose their championship, so no worries. The big programs have learned how to survive major penalties and some even still win big time. Think about it. There has been a history of big programs who cheated for years before being penalized, and it still happens.
