•Five years of probation from March 6, 2015 through March 5, 2020.
•Vacation of all wins in which ineligible men’s basketball students played in 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2010-11 and 2011-12 and ineligible football students played in 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07. The public decision contains additional details.
•Fine of $500 per contest played by ineligible students.
•The school must return to the NCAA all funds it has received to date through the former Big East Conference revenue sharing for its appearances in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
•Suspension of the head basketball coach from the first nine conference games of 2015-16.
•Reduction of men’s basketball scholarships by three for the 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years. If the school has already executed scholarship offers for the 2015-16 year, the school may begin the four-year penalty with the 2016-17 year.
•Reduction in the number of permissible off-campus recruiters from four to two during June 1, 2015 through May 31, 2017.
•The panel also accepted the school’s self-imposed postseason ban for the 2014-15 season, but noted that self-imposition of penalties after the conclusion of infractions hearings does not influence the outcome.
•Additional self-imposed penalties can be found in the public decision.

Hey Cincy you can also add 1 more win to your football resume, UConn you can add 2:

"Pursuant to former NCAA Bylaws 19.5.2-(h) and 31.2.2.3, the institution will vacate all wins from the academic years 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2010-11 and 2011-12 in men's basketball and 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07 in football in which student-athletes 1 through 10 competed while ineligible."

Kinda sad that they only won 5 conference games over those 3 years.

Are they done investigating at UNC? If not, they could get the hammer as well. The NCAA may be trying to go out with a big bang.

Great news! I wonder if the AAC might see a few dollars as part of the old Big East payout being returned.

Cincinnati beat Syracuse those years. In fact UC beat Syracuse 7 out of 8 times while they were the two schools were in the Big East together save for the 2010 season (it happened to be UC's worst season of the past decade plus UC played its third string QB due to injury).

It would be nice, but it sounds like the money is going to the NCAA.

I'm not a Cincy expert and just made the comment as a joke about Syracuse football futility. 04-cheers

I am however, fairly certain you lost in 2004-2005.

UC actually lost at Syracuse in the 2004 season 19-7 in a non conference game while still in CUSA. So I guess we just improved to 8-4 for 2004 , if thats how that works

I stand corrected. I am still right that we dominated them in the Big East. We also beat them in 2002.

Syracuse has to claim thsoe games as losses but the losing team doesn't get to count them as victories.

That why next year will be Boeheim's last...as CUSE can still be at 13 full scholarships for 2015-2016 season...then he could bolt so he won't have to deal with the loss of 12 scholarships over the next 4 years.
