MEMPHIS won the game and that was unexpected and, quite frankly, it seems to irritate or bother some of our fans.

Sorry, but that's how I perceive some of the defending of those officials by our fans.

That's funny because I look at it from another perspective that has no connection to your theory - how could you care two craps about officiating when you win the game?

It's a win - despite the odds - road game, senior day, best player injured - be happy with the victory and move on.

IMO

Oh, be assured I'm quite happy with winning the game....despite the truly one-sided officiating. UConn got away with an overtime win up there last year with a 36-9 free throw advantage. They failed to capitalize on last night's 22-2 advantage, which sweetens the win.

My point is simple: I think there are TIGER fans that are NOT happy with the victory.
C'est la vie. On to Cincinnati.

My blood pressure was already up from the officiating with the outcome unknown until the clock hit 0.

If you are able to totally calm down and be forgiving in that amount of time, good for you.

Also the flagrant call was terrible, even though it didn't hurt us. We got some help near the end too. The no travel call on Kedren sliding across the floor was one. Most of the time you rubes whine about nothing but today we can agree.

I didn't agree with either of those calls, but I understand why they were made. TB was running his mouth to a couple of their players right before he picked up that foul. Also, the game was getting pretty physical before the flagrant call. They probably would have let it go had Purvis not caused the mini-scrum with the way he jumped up. They were trying to keep things from escalating in both cases. Regardless, I don't think those were the correct calls.
IMHO if the refs call a fair game. the likely hood that the game would get out of hand is greatly reduced. The team getting the short end of the stick gets frustrated and being fouled and it not being called . Then have something that was less of foul ( maybe not even a foul ) called on them. So that they made sure the next foul is a foul and a hard one.

With 1:56 left in the game, the 4th team foul was called on Memphis.

You care to try to keep it from happening again , and maybe not winning the next one . It's called backbone , CJP had it all night . The refs knew exactly what was happening .

Was it intentional , I dont know , but it sure seemed that way to me at times .

Winning a game of 5 on 8 makes it twice as sweet to me.
