We could go shirtless and paint our chests to get noticed in the crowd, too. I'll be the U and you can be the C. Hoping the large U may have a slimming effect.

Yup. My over under on Boatright tonight is 21 with at least that many uncalled handchecks.

The scenario that actually played out should surprise exactly nobody in this thread.
This thing stuck the landing a week ago.

Just like it is a lock that UC is locked into the 8/9 game under UK. No doubt about it.

Lunardi and Palm both still have us as 8 seed this morning even after loss. One facing UK in second round, the other facing Wisconsin in second round.

I'll take either of those if it means we won a first round game.

x2
and on the level of the miraculous...I can't think of bigger crotch shot to UK than an 8 seeded UC beating the undefeated Wildcats in the second round. LOL
And while we are dreaming i want it to be a double OT win in which Ellis hits a desperation three that banks in...

Lunardi updated again later today. Still an 8, but moved to Villanova's region facing Davidson.

That Davidson Team will really test our defense. They are really proficient from the three and would probably be very similar matchup wise compared to Creighton a couple of years ago.

The more I've thought about it, short of winning a National Championship, I think I'd rather be the team to knock the greatest UK team ever out of the tourney. If we did that, I wouldn't care if we lost by 40 the next game. That would just be the most awesome thing ever.
While I don't think we have the offense to do it, we have the defense that could make it tough on them and if we get one of those games where Cobb, Caupain and Johnson are hot from outside, maybe we could just shock the world. We'd have no pressure on us, so what the heck. I really would like to make the Sweet 16, but just getting to the tourney is a big accomplishment. Win or lose the experience will be huge for next season.
What would you choose. Beat UK to advance to the Sweet 16 and then get blown out in the Sweet 16. Or would you rather make a Final Four? I would usually say Final Four every time, but man, I'm so sick of the UK fans and how great would it be to take them down? I think I'd vote for taking down UK this season.
