RE: Tulsa - Cincinnati Thread
Way to go Bearcats!

I tell you what, I been thinking Tulsa would lose here for a long time, and they never did, but you took care of it.

Man, I have no idea how you guys lost 5 conference games, you looked so good tonight.

Up to my Mustangs to take of business on Sunday, will be such a great game, for all the marbles.

Once again congrats Cincy and good look in the Conference tournament and in the big dance.

/cheers!

That's easy to answer... we have a young squad and we have played the entire conference season without the head coach.

Experienced? We have barely any experience.

Fair enough, but at least you can say that you were 3-0 against the two teams in front of you...That has to bode well for the conference tourney and the big dance.

Once again great job and I hope we don't have to play you again!

/cheers

Very true I have said this before. Tall teams just give us fits. We also don't have a good enough outside presence to help neutralize that disadvantage. We don't have enough open slots for recruiting to fix the problems anytime soon. So we are stuck with our flaws. Tulsa does the best we can, but still have the flaws.

Lol. Tulsa fans apparently boo everything. Every whistle. Christ, they booed a deadball timeout UC took after a Tulsa made basket. Those guys are great.

The atmosphere looked good on tv...the weather kept this from being a packed house no doubt. I'm glad UC didn't have to face a packed arena. I can see why Tulsa home record is so good. That's a nice venue.

Stark contrast from the Tulane crowd, that was so sparse, that the UC fans basically - hell literally - took over. Tulsa maybe overdid it, but I would rather see that in the conference than dead space.

Tulsa's crowd was very intense when UConn played there. It looked like a really tough environment.

I actually thought the crowd was taken out of it probably 75% of the game. Considering the weather finally starting up yesterday afternoon and the fact that the city was paralyzed all day with forecasts from Tuesday evening, I was alright with the numbers.

By far the biggest student turnout I've seen in three years though. They've finally figured out bball is fun again. We were a bball school for a loooong time up until about 10 years ago.

That's because the refs swallowed their whistles again last night. Cicny had barely any fouls against them most of the night, and a Tulsa team that averages somewhere around 25 FT's a game shot only 13. Our 2 pt fg% was abysmal because our guards would drive in, get hacked... And then get no calls.

I'm not saying Cincy wouldn't have still won, because we weren't shooting the FT's we did get very well... But I think it would have changed the tone of the game if Tulsa had gotten the calls it normally does.

Always an excuse, you simply got beat by a better team, period.

Typical whining from the losing team, UC did not shoot a single free throw in the first half, how does that happen? Tulsa lost to the better team, quit crying about the refs.

Complaining about the refs is kindof weak.

We shoot 70% from FT we probably win the game. The refs gave us every chance to win the game.

Shaq shoots 40-50% from the field we win the game.

All of Shaqs shots were heavily contested and forced. UC shut him down. That is why we lost.

Come on. They were far from competent, but we just flat out couldn't finish shots at the rim or the line.

invisible's constant ref whining is very tiring. He just doesn't realize how lame it makes him look.
