It's amazing what you can find when you actually take 5 seconds to do a search rather than believing everything you read from a partisan hack.

California has been having exceptionally warm weather all winter. The entire west coast of the U.S. and Canada have been. My client in Orange County told me two weeks ago they had had a pool party the prior weekend because it had been in the upper 80s all week. His business (HVAC) is highly dependent on the weather, so the warm (but not exceptionally hot) temperatures, have been terrible for his business this winter.
So when did hail start sticking to rooftops? Serious question.
Probably has something to do with it being 50 degrees and sunny outside.
Quote:If it's hail then it's hail but you can't tell that from the pictures. Looks like snow.
But, just google the weather then. I guess the takeaway is that a single outlier occurring doesn't prove or disprove climate change, but you should look for news sources that don't outright lie in order to further an agenda.

What lie? From the article:
Quote:Observers indicated the snow might be very fine hail, possibly from a cold core thunderstorm. Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with “global warming”.

In defense of myself, the article said snow. What am I supposed to do, research every article that comes my way? If that's really what you guys do then you'd rarely quote the HoPo or MSNBC.
BTW, I was called a moron in the Richard Simmons Room Of Civil Discourse. I didn't report it, I just considered the source and moved on. On the other hand, a person I'm very partial to was given a lengthy time out over a post of a RANDOM gastronomically privileged person who was transporting his well nourished self upon a two wheeled mechanized chariot to his local dermatologist for follicle treatment...or so I'm told.

Look at the website that the "snow" was reported on.

Odd that your harshest critics have been proven wrong repeatedly, yet don't have the courage to own their mistakes. They consistently chase after others to point out their mistakes (often being proven wrong again).
There are some good discussions of those types of people

They go a long way toward explaining the failures that spur their rage and vitriol here. But despite all the observational evidence, we're told it's really some secret "e-gang" that causes all the problems.

Not to pile on you personally nor to represent a specific political ideology, but this happens way too frequently here. A lot of posters will run off with a story that was found on Drudge, HuffPo, etc without taking the few minutes to vet it. All you have to do is run 2 simple tests: 1) Is it logical that this would happen at this place or at this time? If it seems logical that it's possible, then 2) take a brief moment to find supporting sources. In the case of the story in the OP, check the records for the actual temperatures observed during the day the "snow fall" occurred.
Less threads that are closely related and deeper discussions on the threads we do have would go a long way to making this place better. When you have 20 - 30 "global warming" threads that you can choose from within the last week, why add another one? Before someone does a literal count for threads, no I did not check and yes I probably exaggerated the number some but you get my point.
