Netanyahu's speech "may" have done what it needed to...
.. in regards to stopping a deal with Iran.

The critics think the chance of a deal with Iran being reached (which was at a better than 50/50 chance prior to the speech) is now 60/40 against.

And the Democratic "protest" press conference is getting ignored by the media for the most part (except FOX News, who's not being kind to the Democrats comments)

I actually watched his speech....it all depends on who and how they are paying attention.....

we don't want to fk with this one.....I mentioned it in another thread.....the residual effect can get ugly how this one could potentially play out....

you know I'm in agreement of staying out of this other than for diplomatic reasons....

Funny how many of those Dems ranting and raving didn't even attend. Obama had his lapdogs lined up for the attack. They have come off looking like the incompetent people they are. Bibi hit a Grand Slam, they on the other hand can't even lay down a bunt.

I can't for any reason understand why Obama wants to allow the largest state sponsor of Terrorists, on the planet, to develop Nuclear weaponry. Israel is willing to do some dirty work, let them. Egyptians, Saudis, Turkey etc., all are happy for this to happen. The citizens of Iran would love to over throw their government if they could.

The real choice is whether or how he positions the US to contain Iran once they do. What the US wants isn't really consequential. I would rather position the US to contain Iran through sanctions and other punitive actions without ever permitting the Mullahs to emerge with such a clear victory, which would probably help them domestically.

He doesn't want that.

But, he's showing no will to influence things otherwise. I simply don't believe what the administration is saying as stated goals - they don't make sense in context with their actions.

it is the logic being applied that makes me nervous....

What does he want? This is what he is doing.

Just because his foreign policy has no balls, that doesn't mean he "wants" Iran to have nukes.

He doesn't.....but he also doesn't have the fortitude to explicitly demonize them.
