Don't worry Bluto, I'm used to this from the first day I joined. Funny how some members have 12,000 posts and have been here for 10 years, others have 70 and been registered for 8, but a new person gets assaulted at the first post.

There's browser side code that can be implemented that gets through most TOR and public proxies to identify users/aliases. Could be implemented into the mod team view (they see your IP with every post and can do a search by IP) pretty easily. Sent it over to GTSwagger not long ago.
One could also quite easily use the mechanize ruby gem and a basic script to find aliases of regular posters within a reasonable degree of certainty without mod access (regular user account only) - you'd only have to host a small amount of code that could sit behind a 1x1 transparent gif in a PM or post.
But in the end it's not that big of a deal - there have been aliases as long as there have been message boards, UseNet, and mailers and as the AUP says, they are neither encouraged or discouraged.

For better or for worse, Pastner has become a divisive subject and when someone jumps on fairly new comparing him to John Wooden, spidey senses go up.
Honestly being a troll is better than the alternative - complete and utter delusion. At least a troll is rational and purposeful. Even Josh's biggest fans and Josh himself wouldn't dream of comparing him to John Wooden.
