Costco Sued For Religious Discrimination

Jean Camara told ABC 7 that when he refused to work with pork, he was told to work outside gathering carts.

"Just because you have a different belief, that doesn't give anybody the right to treat you different," said Camara.

This guy contradicts himself. He WAS treated just like anyone would have been treated. Actually, he was treated better because any true American would have most likely been told to suck it up or quit.

It's kind of funny considering how liberal Costco as an organization is.

That's what I was thinking. That's also why I think he was simply moved to cart duty since touching packed pork offended him. He was treated on a special level whereas any normal guy would have been fired or forced to deal with it if something offended him.

I agree. Costco helped this guy and he still wants to sue the company. IMO, he's no different than any other douchebag just looking for an easy payout.

Sure seems like it. One would think that courts would throw the case out fairly quickly, but that doesn't seem to happen much.

This reminds me of the girl who was fired from Abercrombie for wearing a jihad because it was against company policy and she wouldn't take it off.

Frankly, I'm still upset that Golden Chick uses bacon bits in their green beans. I'm offended by that.

This guy is a clown. They accommodated him. He doesn't want to not handle pork. He wants Costco to stop selling it.

I'm sitting here thinking, you know if he'd told them during the interview he was a devout Muslim, there wouldn't be an issue, but I'm wrong.. If not hired, he'd claimed religious persecution.

If he'd went to his bosses on day 1 though, this probably could've been avoided.

Face it, we're too litigious as a society.

It would have been great if this guy worked in the bakery department making custom cakes if you know what I mean...
