They may lose all credibility, like that NBC news show that couldn't prove Ford pickups blew up, so they strapped a bomb underneath the truck and blew it up themselves.

Yea, but credibility is for you and I to decide not a court or any authority.

I don't think this particular instance rises to the level of saying that 60 Minutes did anything that should subject it to any liability.

You can't cry fire in a theater. They may settle out of court, but the reputation of 60 minutes will be hammered. Tilson and Cooper, IMO, should be looking at jail time.

That's not an analogous situation.

how is it not? Haven't you read the stories? People are damn near scared that they installed laminate flooring in their home since this report aired.

So would it be a good idea to buy LL stocks or have they gone up again already?

Looks like so, the price jumped up this week, but book value should be around 18 from the last time I looked. Factor in revenue, growth rate, goodwill, and intangible assets, you're looking at an area from 46 to 50 a share.

Nothing wrong with laminate flooring. It is easy to install and keep clean. When it wears out...you just take it up and replace it since it is a "floating" floor(not nailed or glued) It just lays out and holds its place on its own.. I installed it all over my home. That is another plus....YOU can install it yourself and save a ton of money. All you need is a good power miter saw, a tape measure and either a Japanese "Sharksaw" or power vibrating saw to cut out your door jams to allow the laminate to fit under. There are tons of Utube videos to show how to do it. It is a fun project to do with with your wife.

Probably common sense, but this stuff doesn't tolerate water very well - especially the floating floors because water can get under it and just bubbles the floor up. But, it's relatively cheap and easy. I agree and like the product. You don't even need a good mitre saw - a crap one will do fine (but don't tell your wife that because it's a good way to acquire cool new toys).

Just a tip. Where ever you use this stuff that might have the potential for water to stand on it for a short period of time...just run a thin bead of exterior waterproof glue in the joints of those sections. It will extend the life considerably. The joints are already so tight that short exposure to water is no problem. Adding the glue makes the joint almost waterproof.

I put some down last year. I wouldn't call it fun, but you are correct in it being easy.

And people are damned near scared of all sorts of the stuff the news shouldn't really scare them about. How many americans died from Ebola again?

The point is that even if they had completely **** the bed on their reporting, this isn't a criminal matter and it shouldn't be a criminal matter unless they committed a crime. Making statements illegal is a very dangerous road to go down, and instead we have the civil courts for these sorts of matters.

Legally speaking it's a matter of immediacy and the nature of the potential harm. So, realistically they are worlds apart.
