Can we split football and basketball first?

There already is.

Then the attorneys on this board won't have anyone to argue and practice with.

When the season ends, we'll have football and the hope of a 2015-2016 basketball season.

This season has been, from all sides, a complete and utter drag. The acrimony/frustration/etc has made this place completely impossible to moderate and if we 'had a quick whistle' it'd be three posters talking to themselves and we'd all (myself strongly included) be banned. Everyone, from all angles is incredibly frustrated as we polish off our worst year in over a decade...

Let's just get through the next few weeks, get a little drunk, put things in perspective and shake it off.

It's been a rough year, but hope springs eternal and we've had a strong program for a very, very long time. It's always great to be a Tiger and we'll all hopefully remember that once this accursed season is over.

In the interim, people should lighten up, relax a bit, and try to not light each other, the players, and the coaches on fire... or commit homicides... or resort to racist/homophobic slurs...

High standards I know, but I think we can do it!

There should be a Stephen Gostkowski/Wilbur Punt Kicker Board

Only a few years ago members wanted to separate the board because many of the football related threads were harsh because of bad coaching and continued losing.

Now it’s because of basketball.

You are perfect example of why it would be nice-you really like to criticize other posters rather than contribute to discussion. And if you knew anything about playing organized basketball, you would know that any criticism of players I offer, they will get 3 times that much from coaching staff. Especially a really good staff.

No they didn't. For starters; the football program went 5-31 over 3 seasons, so in no shape or form does the basketball program resemble it in any way. It is funny that we have hysterical fans that would even think of comparing the two.

Some wanted to separate them because there weren't a lot of football posts, and they were hard to find. It's a cool story though (as usual).

If you say "if you knew anything about playing organized sports" you've already lost the argument.
