I sure as heck wouldn't rule it out. They've got a home court advantage, a tourney tested coach/PG and are playing good ball right now. I wouldn't be shocked at all if they made another run like that.

I wouldn't say they dominated. SMU surged ahead in the second half, and then Hamilton go hot and put it away.

That said, UCONN is starting to play very good basketball. They're a threat to string together a good winning streak and maybe even a conference tourney championship.

It's nice to see someone posting an important play in their FB season as a highlight from a win against Memphis. There have been many year's when no one would have dared to do so. I like it.

Lol! Well, we never caught D'Angelo, so I like that image of Ward returning the favor.

RE: UCONN wins four in a row..
I've thought all year we had the second-best talent in the conference (after SMU). The national championship hangover is gone and we're finally playing up to our potential.

That said, we could win the AAC tournament or get bounced in the first round.

Yup. Boatright will show up. Whether DHam or Purvis will is a whole other story...

Yep, what were the odds this time last year that UConn would make the run they did?

Then there was that run a few years back when they were something like the 8th seed in the BE tourney, went on to win it, and then went on to another national championship. That's something like 9 straight wins.

That was a fun year. Uconn was a 9 seed and had to play the first round which led to the only 5 wins in 5 days BET win at MSG ever then 6 more to win the ship. 11 straight with everything on the line. Doug Gottlieb picked against UConn every single game, including the round of 64 against Bucknell. That team was undefeated out of conference that year having beaten Wichita State, Michigan State, Kentucky, Texas all in the regular season. I've never had more fun as a fan. Still wish we didn't have to play Cinci and eventually knock them out so early in the tournament though.

I fully expect UCONN to be a factor in the AAC tourney. The game today against Temple should be interesting.

It's called the First Round. Only paid shills for the NCAA Tournament call it the "Round of 64".

the NCAA tournament is owned by the NCAA...so I'll call it whatever they like...

pretty simple stuff.

True but DefConn is correct...we all call those first Th/Fri games the first round. The best 2 days of sports watching all year.
