As much as I hate to say it.. I don't think many people including several who have been in the office hold the position sacred anymore.
I think many politicians see it as the ultimate goal of their career or just as a job.
As a kid several said they wanted to be president and had reasons why.. Let me ask this, when was the last time we heard someone running for the position say why they wanted to be president?

I think Obama sees the Presidency as a stepping stone to what he really desires, which is being a liberal deity that travels the globe via private jet, living in hotel suites, giving speeches to friendly audiences, adored by a media that no longer beholden to any semblance of fairness in their reporting on him as a public government official, all while he eats, drinks and plays at the most exclusive resorts paid for by sycophant benefactors.
