Exclamation THE SCOURGE OF DIXIE: Tulane's All-American Running Back
http://library.la84.org/SportsLibrary/CF...v09n1i.pdf

As many posters know, I have an unhealthy obsession with college football history. (My homework productivity suffers because of this). I love this site for its College Football newsletter. In honor of Tulane's upcoming game against Army, I am posting this article about a Tulane great.

I will post more articles (relating to AAC teams and Army 03-wink ) if any interest is exhibited.

Tulane was a powerhouse early on in the SEC with such a great running back as Eddie Price. I love visiting both West Point and Annapolis to experience the atmosphere and see Tulane play. Will be there this coming year. Always great to see the Army cadets marching band play the Tulane fight song in parade with the corp of cadets before the game. Great to see General George Pattons statue on the grounds and what a view of the Hudson River from the campus.

Sure thing. Yes, they were. Both Army and Tulane share that sad distinction of being past powerhouses.

I attended my first game at Michie Stadium last year. Even with the pouring rain, it was a magical experience. Every CFB fan should attend the game.

Two great early Tulane football coaches were Bernie Bierman and Clark Shaughnessy, the father of the T formation.
