A few? Closer to 10.
The problem with boxing is that the best fighters don't always fight each other. Too many championships allowing for guys to avoid each other or put off fights until both guys are past their prime.
MMA > boxing. There's a reason boxing has been on a steady decline over the years.

"MMA > boxing".
Could be, I dunno. I don't enjoy watching grown men rolling around the ground grinding on each other, but hey.
Last I saw I thought only one MMA PPV event drew over 1 million views (just over 1M). I'll have to find that article, I may have read it wrong.
It's hard to get a bead on boxing because the biggest fights are now on HBO and Showtime, premium channels on their own.

This fight is definitely past due, but they are both still probably the best PxP fighters in the world right now. So I will definitely have to check this out. One of the many problems with boxing today, is there are no more great heavyweights, and most of the top heavyweights are foreigners. Great HW fights are the Superbowl of boxing, and we haven't had a good one in 10-15 years

I think its more of a U.S. thing. There really are no American heavyweights anyone wants to watch in numbers.
The Klitschko's (heavyweight champs) routinely sell out arenas in Germany with a large Euro TV audience. Wladimir Klitschko sold out 60,000 seats in Germany for a fight with Englands David Haye (though Haye had to cancel because of an injury, the fight went on with Chagaev in Haye's place). Sellouts are a routine thing for Wladimir and his brother Vitali in Europe.
In any event, I'll probably be watching Mayweather/PacMan, just wished it would have happened about 4 to 5 years ago.
I believe Wladimir Klitschko is scheduled to fight an American heavyweight at Madison Square Garden in a couple months or so. Both the Klitschko's are getting up in age, but they have just dominated the heavyweight scene the past few years.

MMA has had 8 events draw over 1 mil. But I think the sport has peaked. The last time it did over a mil buys was Dec. 2013. The initial attraction of an (almost) bare knuckle brawl drew viewers in. But those same viewers are slowly drifting away because of too many boring wrestling matches of 2 dudes rolling around on the floor grabbing each other. Even the novelty of Rhonda Rousey is wearing thin because she doesn't knock anyone out. Her wins are almost always by submission.
I predict you will see boxing bounce back in a big way this year. The May/Pac fight will be the largest PPV boxing event in history (surpassing 2.4 mil). Young American HW Deontay Wilder is undefeated and has looked impressive. With Al Haymon starting his PBC boxing series and buying air time on basic TV on NBC, CBS and Spike. He has a good stable of fighters he is planning on matching up which should make for some good fights.
I think the main thing that holds boxing back is some of the "questionable" judges decisions in fights that have taken place far too often.

Thanks.... I believe this was the site I remember seeing. It showed four draw over 1M, so I don't know how I came away with 1, its been a while and I am getting old.
I don't believe actual #'s are released (for mma or boxing), so how they guesstimate is beyond me.

For any current/former/future boxing fans out there, some good fights on primetime NBC this Saturday night. Adrien Broner is in one of the matches. I don't particularly care for him, but I am anxious to watch Keith Thurman again who has knocked out 21 of the 24 fighters he's faced:
