RE: Worst home attendance average in 10 years...maybe worst in 15 years
Attendance will be up next year because the team will win much bigger. Happened before, will happen now, will happen later.m and pretty much makes Memphis like all other programs.
For those who have given up...because this year is too much to take and even last year, while including a half dozen big wins but also included a few too many big losses, and even the year before with thirty wins ended in a big loss to MSU...others will un eventfully use your tickets.
Will be fun, just like every team in the country that gets a dip during a down year then back up pretty quickly.
Not worthy of scorn...just some points.

Are you predicting a Sweet 16 or bust next year? Just curious since we've never gotten that far under this coach and it seems he'll have one of his most talented teams.

What gives people the idea that Memphis will make it to Sweet 16 next year? The Basketball IQ is.....somewhat remedial.

Well, technically, we can still win the AAC tourney and win the whole thing this year...
I mean, it's unlikely, but it's got to be more likely than winning powerball...

So, we're going to finish better than fifth next year?

Finally someone who understands how that things is to work....NO LEAD GUARD...nothing! average to below average team. The team for next year STILL doesn't have a pg.
KJ may loose weight but he isn't a leader...because that would show if he was 500LBs...KJ is not set up assist man....KJ was scared to bring it up against Tulsa last game...

Since you've got your crystal ball polished up, I could use the winning PowerBall numbers for this Saturday night.

For someone with as much disdain as you have for Ole Miss, it seems you have been smoking some of that gov't dope they grow down in Oxford.

Clearly, there are other factors besides the team coach driving the figures (e.g., more games on TV, HD TV, parking cost, travel time, etc).
I think it will take a well known "name" coach like Calipari to improve attendance (e.g., not Marshall) and history shows it will dip in following years unless the team excels at a high level.
Those links clearly show the strength of the Memphis Brand. Basically Top 10 in attendance since forever.
As a Cuse fan I have my thoughts on Pastner but Memphis isn't my team so it doesn't mean anything to you guys. But, you need to build Football up more than improving in Hoops. Sadly it is a FB world.
I suggest those thinking about cancelling your Hoop Season Tickets to least downgrade to the cheap seats. Stay in the game...go to the games you want and give away the tickets to games you don't want to see to friend/coworker/guy who changed your oil, etc...

Is flying coach the reason we've lost so many home games this season?

Apparently, Christian Brothers didn't need to fly coach to the FEF and look what they accomplished.

Next year the TSF donation will probably take a hit. I've stayed in the same general area of the forum since it opened. Donation started at 2500, now it is 6000. Saw some long time people disappear this year from around me, will probably see a few more next year. The required donation is too high for the product on the court.

I buy 5 extra season tickets, when all I really need is 2. I buy the 5 extra for family and friends who just can't afford the cost. For the past 2 years I couldn't even give the damn things away and obviously many others were in the same boat, as evidenced by the number of empty seats at each game. For next year I'm cutting my season tickets from 7 down to 2. No need for the additional expense to watch mediocre to bad basketball under Pastners watch.
