Matias was the true definition of blue collar. Played hard all the time. Very good offensive rebounder. They're going to miss him big time.

The ULL radio broadcast mentioned his Achilles. If so, a major injury like that couldn't have come at a worse time. I remember he had a couple of good plays against us during crunch time.

Agreed. At this point, I think any of the four could beat each other, with ULL being the slight underdog of the group (yes I know they just beat us)

Good thing is, the Cajuns may be playing their best basketball of the season right now.

Very similar to last year. I'm not sure that we aren't a very strong dark horse, if not maybe the favorite at this point. Depends on if we bring that momentum over the next few into New Orleans.

As Jay Wright goes, so will the Cajuns chances I believe. He has been very disruptive, and maybe the best defensive guard in the conference over the last few weeks.

Southern and ulm both currently have depth problems that can kill you in a tourney. Southern unfortunately lost a very good player last night and ULM is running with like 7 guys right now.

Could be quite epic and would make me nervous as hell for two hours.

A rematch between ULL and GaSt, GSU vs GSU, ULL vs ULM, and a rematch (sorta) of the football conference championship (for us) GS vs ULM would all be very appealing and have good storylines.

My darkhorse to win it all is Troy.

I don t know who is the favorite but if the final four standing is the top four seed with UTA being interchanged with any of those team it would make for a great tournament. Good luck to all except when you play the Cajuns.

Agreed. UTA and TXST could easily match up at some point, too.
