Bronco Husker connection?
I like what Miles did here.
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketba...-loss-iowa
I see a similarity between the Huskers and the Bronco's. But only in that both having gone dancing last year they both may have thought it was going to be almost as, just as or even more easy than last year.
Hello?
Hawk would need cut off access to Ernestine the telephone operator, remove the Dixie cups, etchasketches and Kleenex boxes to make a similar point.

What Miles did was stupid. Dont place all that blame on the kids.
Those coaches get extremely well paid to have the team ready to play.
Did the coaching staff get fed hotdogs instead of steak for failing to have team ready?
I hope the AD fires him.
Time for the fans to revive https://twitter.com/firetimmiles

So when do the players become accountable?
Do you know what the staff had done with the players up to that point and despite that got the effort they provided against Iowa?
OKGC, you've been a parent. How long do you cut junior slack? What if junior doesn't respond appropriately to various attempts and approaches of incentives? Keep going with hasn't worked?
Miles has a track record of success at several programs including getting Nebraska to the dance last year for the first time in along time.
More important Miles has a rep within the fraternity of being as straight a shooter as there is. No Calipari. No Alford. No Knight. No Tark.
It isn't a secret that their best skilled player Petteway has been struggling with his mom in Texas and a reoccurrence of cancer. The side story was his acting out was both on and off the court and self focused. That acting out generated push back by teammates. All within a week of a public recognition (wearing shirts and sneaks) of the one asst's 7-8 year old son who too has been battling cancer.
A lot going down in Lincoln. Not your usual disciplinary situation.

Yup I am a parent and I never locked my kids out of the house either.
Miles reaction IMO compares to road rage on the highway.
Woody Hayes, Bobby Knight won the "old school way" also. Would not have let my kids play for them either.

He didn't lock them out of the house. He took away their car and toys that the school pays for. They still have their dorm or apt and have the continued responsibility to do their school work. Even then, if booted still not an equivalent. But nice try.
Having had a face to face screaming match with Knight in front of 1500 others I can attest he is a the south pointed end of a jack ass that is headed northbound. I also know a gent who works with Miles, and that individual is an impeccable human being. Wouldn't work for Hayes, Knight or whomever you choose.
There is context here you are choosing to ignore. If that works for ya go for it. But I'm on board.
