I'm a new Lyon College Fan
My son signed today to play soccer at Lyon College. I'm now officially a Lyon College Scot fan as well as a Trojan and Tech fan.

Congrats on that Karl(Mark). I'm happy for you and your son.

That's fantastic. I hear Lyon is a great academic school as well. I wish UALR could start up men's soccer again.

We were talking about that the other day. With our own facility now and not having to deal with football I would think that would be a great move. UCA is currently the only D1 Mens soccer team in the state and they play I the Mo Valley which is hard for them to compete in. Plus doesn't the Sun Belt sponsor Mens Soccer now so conference affiliation wouldn't be an issue.

I've wondered for awhile whether their might be enough private support among soccer fans in LR to get a program started. If a commitment was made it could be a premier DI program in this area, because most southern schools don't have DI men's soccer. Probably a pipe dream. It does appear much more realistic than football, however. I'd also like to join UA-Huntsville as a DI hockey program.

I'd like to see women's softball here. I've watched some good college softball on ESPN. Those girls can play.
