Isn't that because schools are not broadcasting their spring games? Isn't ESPN just using the local feed online on ESPN3?

Part of it is we have to supply our production of it and part of it is timing vs others. We don't get a ton of fans to the spring game either. In the neighborhood of 10 to 15 k

15k would put you towards the upper end of G5. Frankly I think it's worth the relatively low cost. I like how the PAC12 has all or most of theirs on the same day and broadcasts them all. It's good advertising for the conference and the individual schools.

Hope ESPN3 doesn't carry UCF's Spring Game...as that might stop some HS recruits from showing up at the game.

Spring Game is a big day in regards to showing things off to upcoming Soph/Jr/Sr HS players....as many get private tours of facilities/dorms/workout facilities on that day.

I heard that subscriber and viewership numbers for the P12 network are terrible. Am I wrong? Any one got any info?

I heard that as well. No hard data though.

If anything our conf network should show it. Not sure any of us have a large enough national following to justify it on espn etc. Everyone else does it on their own networks

Our digital network is a complete joke. The MW has a real Digital Network that runs circles around ours. Our Digital Network needs a lot of work just to be average. Two top 15 baseball teams in the league and not one game on the digital network......its a complete joke.

I would not be suprised if the AAC is working with ESPN to put it's non-revenue sports on ESPN3 in some manner. ESPN3 is a digital network, the infrastructure is in place, but the logistics probably take time to develope. The production of many non-revenue sports would likely have to be produced by the schools or a 3rd party media partner. ESPN may have certain standards in place that require the broadcast orginator adhere to, so as the production is not inferiror, or similar to the craptastic C-USA digital network, which I found to be worse than many high school productions.

I can't imagine Aresco and his crew are intentionally ignoiring this side of conference exposure, he constantly reminds us how important exposure is to the AAC. My guess is in the future we're going to see more AAC content on ESPN3, maybe even a dedicated digital channel within ESPN3 for AAC content.

I am pretty sure the MWC downgraded theMtn TV network to a digital network. They already had a platform in place and the transition was probably seamless, thus why it is so much better,

It's an advertising vehicle and a smart one with more and more people watching online content via their TV and set top boxes (Roku, Chromecast). It makes sense if schools can produce the content cheaply themselves.

Yeah, one of the positives of the MTN (tv network) going under was that cbs-sports still continued to produce their non-revenue sports programming on the digital network. I could be wrong, but I've heard that the MWC schools get profits of that somehow. I know that a lot of people on here boast about what a great media deal the AAC compared to the MWC but I'm not sure anymore.....at least in $, the MWC deal is pretty even and if we find how much $ their getting for the MWC digital network (which they own, unlike the AAC with its " network " it could be that we were wrong about having a financial advantage over them in our media deals. anyone have the details on how much the MWC network profits are for them? Good model to follow for the next AAC media contract perhaps?

It may be even in total comp but not by total dollars. It is heavily weighted in boises favor. The network is tier 3 rights

They announced that TU won't have an official spring game this year, but there will be designated practices open to the public. I assume there will be scrimmage time during them. I kind of like that.
