Georgia State - The big win in the last game of the season proves that they deserve their first-ever bowl trip.

Louisiana - Heads to New Orleans; a few days before the game, officials go ahead and rename it the Cajun Bowl.

stAte - The conference champs go bowling once again.

Georgia Southern - Would have won the conference if it weren't for that slip-up in the last game. Still, they'll gladly settle for a bowl.

Texas State - The 10-2 Bobcats technically win the conference but a computer error has them sitting in last. Karl starts to call bowl committees to try and fix the error, but then realizes he doesn't give a crap and hangs up. 'Cats sit at home again.

I just went with the teams that have really good returning QBs. A-State has to prove that it addressed the DT problem because they will score a lot of points. Ga So has to prove that they can adequately replace their OL and do it 2 years in a row. App has to show that they can play well for an entire season and not just be the strongest in the second half of the year. Texas State? I am not sure about them and I could have just as easily put ULL in there if they returned their QB and big bruiser at RB.

Cajuns will be at worse 7-5 and until a team besides stAte can show they can travel we will be bowling.

Um? Troy had traveled very well to all our bowls.

If everyone is as good as the fans think, there will be at least 5 teams bowling,and with great OCC records to boot...So I will go with:

Appalachian State
Georgia Southern

Texas State


I also think South Alabama will be bowl eligible.......

Problem still remains that TXST can't prove if we'll travel well if no one gives us a chance to show it.

I still feel we need to shoot for a non SBC Bowl in TX, though.

Bowl eligible cajuns aren't sitting at home buddy, you forgot what bowls are about $$$

Let's go down the list of who I don't see making bowls:

NMSU, Idaho, Georgia State.

That leaves the pool at 8. I'll put in the unlikely ULM & Troy.

Leaves 6 for 4 bowl slots.

Cajuns will get NOLA bowl.

5 for 3 spots.

I see stAte taking one for sure. Leaves 4 for 2.

Of that, I see Georgia Southern getting one, and App getting the other, leaving USA & Texas State at home.

Of that, I think Texas State has the best shot (out of the two) for an at-large bowl game, should one be available.
