Honestly, given Holder's age and, I'm not surprised at all it's a book he has read. What he took from it and how it has or has not influenced his view of the United States and it's people is more important.

I do believe he's one of those people that views everything through the prism of race, which IMO makes him every bit as bad as a white person that's racist.

I assure you I am well versed in the history of that era. Malcolm X felt that Martin's approach was pointless in the face of the outright violence against blacks during the era. Malcolm's stance was no different than John Brown.

I assure you I am well versed in the history of that era. Malcolm X felt that Martin's approach was pointless in the face of the outright violence against blacks during the era. Malcolm's stance was no different than John Brown.

Here is his mugshot for his 1946 burglary... I think this predates his disapproval of MLK.
