Quote:USC:
09/05/15 Arkansas State
09/12/15 Idaho
Interesting point on that. BUT they do play ND + their "4th OOC" is another PAC12 team. So, in comparison to a B10 or SEC team, their "Other 4 games" are:
- Ranking P5 (Notre Dame)
- Mid-Range P5 (Random P12 team)
- Mid-Range G5 (Ark State)
- Easy G5 (Idaho)
ALABAMA 2015 "Other 4 Games":
- Ranking P5 (Wisconsin)
- Mid-Range G5 (Midd Tenn State)
- Easy G5 (ULM)
- FCS/D1AA (Charleston Southern)
OHIO STATE 2015 "Other 4 Games":
- Mid-Range P5 (@VA-Tech)
- High-Level G5 (NIU)
- Mid-Range G5 (WMU)
- Easy G5 (Hawaii; Hawaii's only mid-range @Hawaii)
So in comparison, USC is not bad at all. One of their 4 games will always be appropriately a mid-range P5 -- so them having Notre Dame every year on top of that, they have a reasonably tough "Other 4 Games" if they also throw in a mid-range G5.
USC 2016: Alabama, Utah State
USC 2017: Texas, WMU
Quote:I do hope that the Broncos become a frustrated perennial second to NIU with Toledo dropping to third. That would be sweet!
For next year? I certainly couldn't complain. Having to play @Toledo next year, if we (WMU) got to 2nd place I would be more than fine with that (Going 7-1 or 6-2 Conference; below NIU or tie-breaker to win West goes to NIU by losing @NIU). There's little chance to beat both @NIU and @Toledo... on top of that, having to play an improved @Ohio + BGSU (top two MAC East)... after of course, having to play MSU, @Ohio State, and @GA-Southern (high-level G5) BEFORE we'd kick things off. Thank gawd CMU's going to suck and that game's at home...
