Great game but it is still high school. Next season, he will be a freshman playing against guys with => speed, athleticism, physical size, etc.

I hope he is a Keith Lee drone but realistically I think it will take 2 years.

Depends on his SKILLS...If he has a complete skillset he can succeed early...If he is currently depending on his physical abilities to score he probably will struggle early in college.

1991 the Tigers lost to Arkansas St in the NIT. We brought in two top 10 players the next season. Penny and David Vaughn and it took a while for them to jell. There was even doubt we would make the tournament until we got on a run and went to the Great Midwest finals. And Penny was the primary ball handler. What makes you think the Lawson's are going to turn this team around? Josh's coaching?

Penny was not the prmary ball handler. A lot of people make this mistake since he played PG in the NBA. Penny was a SG in hgih school and a SF for the Tigers. He only played PG the back half of his junior year because Sidney Coles was hurt.

Penny WAS the primary ball handler. I don't care what position he was listed at. Neither of the Lawsons will be that here.

Burrell should be the primary ballhandler on this team. He's the best facilitator we have.

If anyone is making comparisons b/w Penny and either of the Lawsons...stop!

They're good, but I don't think they'll fix anything right away

Burrell is the 2nd most skilled player on this team. He's been completely misused by Josh. Josh lets Woodson stay on the floor no matter what, but yanks Burrell if he makes one bad pass.

Paris wasn't even a McD all american. Adonis was ranked #1 in his entire class by at least one recruiting service/publication.

Thats the way I remember it too. I dont remember much about Sidney Coles from that era. I remember Marcus Nolan but mostly from his crazy attempts to dunk on players twice his size and his unhappiness about his role (was it Nolan's dad that picketed the Pyramid?).

Did we not play Leon Mitchell a lot at the 1 with Billy Smith at the 2 and Penny at the 3 but with Penny being the primary ballhandler and initiator of the offense? Thats what I remember but those memories are not quite as sharp as they used to be.

Adonis was playing well for a freshman until the injury IMO.

That changed everything about his game going forward, so much so that it probably actually hindered his draft status, which he seemed to be trying to protect.

Burrell
Markel
Woodson/Kedren (whoever is playing better I guess)
Nichols
Shaq

Exactly. It seemed after that injury Adonis played scared like he was afraid to hitter himself again. That style of play made him soft.

If Adonis had the motor that Nick has he would have lived up to the hype
