Things to do in Birmingham...
The wife and I will be making the trip down for the tournament, and we have been doing some research for things to do in the city. For us out-of-towners, could anyone give a big rundown on things to do in Birmingham (Restaurants, sights, etc). Looking forward to a weekend of good basketball!

Well last time I was there I watched the Niners win four games in four days and take home the trophy. I don't know what the losers did! 02-13-banana

(And I will not be going this year because I would sure find out. 03-weeping )

with 11 games in 4 days and then the women's tournament too, there is no time for anything else. I go to the tournament most years and all I do is a LOTS of basketball.

Dreamland is overrated and too commercialized in my opinion. Give Saw's a visit while in town. You will not regret it!

RE: Things to do in Birmingham...
Depending on Western's game time we will most likely stay in Mobile and make the 3 hr drive. While Birmingham has some good lakes to fish in the 15 degrees difference in temperatures and saltwater fishing more than makes up for a 3 hr drive.

I honestly can't think of anything I want to do in Birmingham other than watch Western play 3 (maybe 4) days of basketball
