Quote:Iberville Parish school officials said they were shocked Tuesday by the arrest of one of the district’s top teachers on more than 37 counts related to inappropriate sexual relationships with three students.

Keavin Keith, 30, was booked into the Iberville Parish Jail on Tuesday on 30 counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student, two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and five counts of felony carnal knowledge.

Sheriff Brett Stassi said Keith admitted to investigators that he’d had sex with the students.

Quote:A photo from 2013 posted on the photo sharing website Flickr shows Keith receiving an award for Iberville Parish “teacher of the year.” A June 2013 article from the Plaquemine Post South, says that Keith was chosen to represent the parish in the regional teacher of the year competition.

Quote:According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office, Keith, who resides 58060 Desobry Street in Plaquemine, was arrested late Monday after a former MSA student who recently graduated told police she and the teacher had a sexual relationship.

After further investigation, deputies discovered Keith also had sexual relationships with two other female students still enrolled at MSA-West.

“He used his position to gain access to these kids,” Stassi said Tuesday.

Stassi believes there could be more victims and is asking them to come forward as their investigation continues.

It's unfortunate that you refuse to discuss the issue and instead just post news stories.

OK, let's discuss the issue.

Why are there so many sexual predators in the teaching field?

Why isn't there better pre-employment psychological profiling? Should it start while in college in order to identify them before they get in the system and in many cases the protection of the teacher's union?

Why aren't there greater restrictions on the out of school contact teachers have with these kids?

What is the teaching field doing to correct this epidemic of teachers being sexual predators?

Who says there isn't? I had to get a background check, and submit fingerprints to become a teacher. I don't know of many professions where you have to do that.

Why aren't there greater restrictions on the out of school contact teachers have with these kids?

Define greater? We are repeatedly told not to interact with students outside of school. What other profession are you constantly told not to interact with your customers?

What is the teaching field doing to correct this epidemic of teachers being sexual predators?

Epidemic? Do you have a link for that?

But you never addressed why so many teachers feel compelled to stick their junk in a child. I mean, if the teacher's of the year are doing this, what about the others. Frightening.

Quote:Do you have data to back that up?

Yes, it's been provided earlier in the thread. You can search back and find it if you so desire.

Quote:Who says there isn't? I had to get a background check, and submit fingerprints to become a teacher. I don't know of many professions where you have to do that.

So no psychological profile?

And everything you mentioned is done for a whole bunch of professions, and it is done for every government position I know of, even janitors. In fact I once told someone that I had probably been fingerprinted more than anybody they knew that had never been arrested for any crime whatsoever.

Quote:Define greater? We are repeatedly told not to interact with students outside of school. What other profession are you constantly told not to interact with your customers?
Evidently it's not enough since just about every business day I get to add at least one, usually multiple, instance of yet another sexual predator teacher getting arrested.

There should be a zero tolerance for a teacher to have anything other than incidental contact with students outside of a school setting. Teachers shouldn't have their student's cell phone numbers, shouldn't interact with them on social media, and certainly shouldn't fraternize with them in their homes.

Quote:Epidemic? Do you have a link for that?
Again a link stating that fact was provided earlier in the thread. And again you can search the thread for it if you so desire.

So many teachers aren't compelled to stick their junk in a child. For the few that do, there are thousands and thousands that don't. So your assumption is completely false.

Well, I guess this one at least deserves partial credit for not actually diddling the kids himself

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/mot...rag/nmJqZ/

Quote:A DeKalb County middle school teacher and coach has been arrested after a mother claims he allowed students to have sex in his classroom closet.

Quinton Wright was arrested Tuesday afternoon and has been charged with four misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Channel 2’s Tom Regan spoke with the parent Monday, who said she couldn’t believe what was happening.

“I was in a state of disbelief when I read all these messages," the mother said, asking to remain anonymous.

The mother told Regan she looked at her 14-year-old son's phone and discovered a shocking exchange of text messages last Thursday between him and Quinton Wright, a math teacher and coach at Champion Theme Middle School in Stone Mountain.

"Basically he's allowing the students to have sex in a storage room of his classroom," the mother said.

“He told my son you can have it from 7:30 to like 8:30,” the mother said reading some of the messages. “'Did you tell the girl what's going to happen? That she cannot tell anybody?’ basically don't tell anyone I'm allowing you to use my room.”

The mother said the teacher also sent her son a calendar showing teachers' schedules and a text saying he did not have condoms.

“It’s very sickening and disheartening, because we trust administrators and educators when we drop our kids off at school,” the mother said.

Why do you think they call it an "inappropriate relationship" instead of child rape?

Quote:Police say she had an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old female student. Now, that New Mexico teacher is behind bars.

Officials say that Mora County physical education teacher and coach has now resigned.

State police say 25-year-old Mandi-Ann Casados, a teacher and assistant softball coach at Mora public schools was having an intimate relationship with one of her female athletes.

According to a criminal complaint the 14-year-old player’s mom contacted police after she found more than 500 text messages on her daughters cell phone between her and Casados

Police say one of the texts Casados sent to the girl was a picture of her with a hickey on her neck. Others messages talked about the two being in love, kissing and almost getting caught.

The student told police she and Casados would kiss after softball practice by the dugout and that she had given her coach a hickey. The victim’s mom says she was worried about her daughter’s safety because she would often travel out of town with the softball team including Coach Casados.

It speaks volumes that you are more concerned about the wording of a news article than the fact that just about every day we are able to post new examples of perverts in your profession violating children.

I've already said repeatedly that adults should never have a relationship with someone under the legal age. However, I am pointing to the symantics which in fact speaks volumes.

You know it and I know it and everyone else knows it.

I'm just the only one with the balls to point it out.

I'm amazed at How many pretty decent looking Female Teachers get involved Sexually with 15 year old Males. Where were these teachers when Us older Guys were in school ?.Maybe They had to wear Their Hair back and dress plain with little make up and just looked a lot older then than These Younger "Cougars" do . But Yeah, It is wrong for Anyone to mess around with any Minor. Male or Female.
