10 College Football Quarterbacks on the Rise for 2015

Kyle Allen, Texas A&M
Mike Bercovici, Arizona State
Joshua Dobbs, Tennessee
Jeremy Johnson, Auburn
Josh Rosen, UCLA
Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State
Seth Russell, Baylor
Greg Ward, Houston
Deshaun Watson, Clemson
Malik Zaire, Notre Dame

Other Quarterbacks to Watch in 2015

Brooks Haack, UL Lafayette

The Ragin’ Cajuns must replace quarterback Terrance Broadway, but coach Mark Hudspeth has a few talented options in place. Haack was a three-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite in 2012 and the Texas native has been solid as a backup over the last two years, completing 41 of 58 passes for 403 yards and three scores.

Taylor Lamb, Appalachian State

In its first season of FBS play, Appalachian State quietly finished 2014 on a six-game winning streak. Lamb turned in a promising freshman campaign, throwing for 2,381 yards and 17 scores and rushing for 483 yards and four touchdowns. The Georgia native started the final 10 games and led the Mountaineers to an average of 34.8 points per contest in that span.

If the above is your "criteria" for QB's to watch, then add Tyler Jones of TX ST to your list. Last year Tyler threw for 2,670 yards and 22 TD passes. He also rushed for 718 yards and another 6 TD's . . . ..

Maybe since it's his 3rd season he isn't soneone "to watch"... He has been at the helm.

Look at the QB's on the list. Athlon is likely looking specifically for someone with minimal starting experience that will be taking a starting QB job over. Lamb and Haack fill that role. Jones has been starting for 2 seasons now. Everyone knows what to expect out of him.

RE: athlonsports Quarterbacks to Watch in 2015
Its easy for them to say these are guys to watch in 2015. Many of these guys haven't even played yet. Of those some have had a few snaps. So yeah we can watch them just like any other QB. Watson at Clemson everyone knows he is going to be the man there and has already proven he can ball. We know Kyle Allen is pretty good and he should improve. Taylor Lamb had a really good first year IMO and should be much better. Sometimes I wonder how bored these people are to come up with this stuff.

Sporting News had the Top 25 QB list and put THREE on the list from Ohio State. Yeah, bored...and lazy.
