Here's how FBSchedules.com ranks them for 2015:

10. Florida State: Texas State, USF, FCS Chattanooga, at Florida
9. Miami: FCS Bethune-Cookman, at FAU, Nebraska, at Cincinnati
8. Wake Forest: FCS Elon, at Army, Indiana, at Notre Dame
7. North Carolina: South Carolina (at Charlotte, NC), FCS North Carolina AT&T, Illinois, FCS Delaware
6. Pittsburgh: FCS Youngstown State, at Akron, at Iowa, Notre Dame

I'd drop Louisvile's schedule to 4th/5th behind GT, Clemson, & maybe VT in projected SOS, but overall a reasonable list.

RE: Power Ranking ACC non-conference schedules
Before it's mentioned, NC State's is bad because Ok State dropped our series when the B12 lost Nebraska and Colorado and went to the 9 game schedule. Nothing of substance was put into place because we then expected the ACC to expand to 9 conference games and we were frog-gigged twice on that. In the last 6 years we have had Tennessee, Oklahoma State, and LSU bail on us. We were stupid enough to allow the home and home with UT to be converted to a one-off in Atlanta in 2012 but that was a fiasco as the game was moved from a Saturday on the Labor Day weekend to a Friday, with another game in town, and a NASCAR race.

Woohoo! Top of the list!

UNC is playing the phone company?

I have asked about the schedule before. I was told something about existing contracts from a previous regime and they would be strengthening the schedule in the future. I'll believe that when I see it.

I assume you mean the NC State schedule? Here's what is on the books:

2015: Troy, Eastern Kentucky, at Old Dominion, at South Alabama (no P5)
2016: at East Carolina, Old Dominion, Notre Dame, William & Mary
2017: Furman, Marshall, at Troy, at Notre Dame
2018: Georgia State, West Virginia, at Marshall, James Madison
2019: Western Carolina, at West Virginia, Ball State, East Carolina
2020: Delaware, Mississippi State (2 TBD)
2021: Furman, at Mississippi State (2 TBD)

So it seems like this is the last really bad OOC schedule.

2023: ND *
2024: *
2025: at ND *

So it seems like this is the last really bad OOC schedule.

* State's oldest former OOC game that was regularly played was Penn State from 1969 to 1982 and South Carolina from 1921 to 1999. Attempting to have couple with them is a priority. But another issue for us is that with the exit of MD, NC State does not get to play in the State of VA but once every 6 years in Va and once every 12 years in Georgia. We are not going to agree to single games in Atlanta against Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, etc. We would do it in Charlotte, but not Atlanta. We would play PSU in Fed Ex in DC, but they just have three games to work with and Pitt, WVA, Va, and VT are priorities to them.

Our stadium is not large enough to supply the ticket demand for a close by SEC school - that's also an issue. We really need 7K more seats, but that's a risk.

As bad as this year's schedule is, we still play Clemson, FSU, UNC, VT, and Louisville. We have to play ECU for political reasons every three years or so.

For recruiting purposes we could use home and away with Purdue, Indiana, PSU, and Auburn. We just don't recruit much outside the Indiana, Ohio, PA, VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, and Florida areas.

We make as much money off a home game with App State and Western Carolina as we would home and away with Purdue or Indiana.

In the late 90's and early 00's we played home and home with Bama, and Ohio State - we were close in one Bama game and lost two heartbreakers to Ohio State on the last play of the game. We did beat Texas in a monsoon in a one-off at Texas. Yet we choked a home and away with Baylor. The Ohio State losses were program changing. That's not been forgotten for better or worse.
