I saw him in Tupelo in October 2013, and he's been in Nashville and St. Louis several times over the last few years.

He turns 70 this year and still plays with the energy of a 25 year old. He's a must-see.

I'm guessing you saw him there in '85 when he opened his Centerfield tour at Mud Island? I was only 10, so I missed that one. But I've seen him 10+ times since '97, and he has never disappointed.

He tears through a nearly 30 song set for 2 - 2 1/2 hours, so you get your money's worth. I hope I have that much energy at 70.

I always thought the Beale Street Music Fest would be a perfect match, so I'm glad it's finally happened.

1985 it was, The Centerfield Tour. It was way better than I thought it would be. As a pretty hard rocker in my day. I never acted like I liked CCR, or Fogerty. That concert got me as a fan. He works hard, and it's really good. I have been a big fan of his since then.

I was never a huge CCR fan but damned if I don't think Ramble Tamble is an awesome song.
