The outline will likely see more success on NIU's field than U of I's.

I would go with literally just the state in the middle, colored in red or black. Or you could put the state filled in with the eyes too.

I like the endzones, but really hate the idea of copying the Illini for mid field. Put a Huskie there!

If this is what NIU is to look like, UI does, obviously IHSA is involved.

Makes no sense they would both have the State outline, then the logo.

I like everything but the outline of Illinois. I would love to see athletics use the updated NI logo. I hardly ever see it used. That one and the three huskie logo.

North Coast Bias also had pics for an all black end zone and leaving the end zone green.

Keep the end zones either red or black!!!

I could be ok with that and our logo at mid field. Black endzone with the eyes and the huskie at mid field with just NIU below it

I do like the logo that is currently on the field now. I hope they keep that somewhere on the new turf.
