Looking at whats left for both teams, winner on thursday should win the outright regular season conference championship. Both UTEP and Louisiana Tech have 3 losses, and both teams should be favored in their remaining games. Should be a tough game for UTEP on the road.

Time to showcase CUSA! Go Miners! Good luck La Tech, but only for no injuries

i thought ODU @ UTEP would be the biggest game of the regular season, alas it wasn't but this game is a fine substitute in my mind. Both teams have been great this season and it's nice to have a regular season final of sorts. It's also on national TV so this game should be awesome all round.

I am wondering about the status of Matt Wilms. He has been out four weeks with a stress fracture in his foot. I am really hoping he is ready for this game because depth at the center position has been a problem the past three weeks. UTEP needs to be 100% in order to beat La. Tech on their home floor.

Wilms boot is supposed to come off today but I think he needs to be used sparingly, if at all, this week. We need him to be ready for the conference tournament.

"Mark Madness" during the half time show of one of the games had La. Tech getting the automatic bid and UTEP getting the "at large" bid from the CUSA.

word today is he will be ready for Thursdays game but how effective will he be after sitting out a month. If he can give us 15 to 20 good minutes, Ill be happy

I hope we don't go 3-26 again from beyond the arc on Thursday. With a team mostly made up of guards and forwards we have to be able to knock down some outside shots to play well. We don't have much of an inside game at all.

Agreed. Wilms should sit out Thursday and be fresh for the CUSA tournament instead.

Whatever Heem is going thru right now, he needs to get over it by Thursday. We need him to light it up from outside.

If Wilms can play, he should. But I just hope he doesn't force himself. Like everyone has stated, we need him come CUSA tourney time.

We need to be ready defensively.

Washburn and Lang need to be ready and stay out of foul trouble.

I'll be happy to see UTEPs size advantage also take advantage under the basket and make more layups than miss. Also we need to be shooting 75% in the free throw stripe. It'll be a big game and as always it doesn't matter whose court it's one after all they beat us in our place. Maybe it's time for revenge.

I've got a good feeling about this one. Which gives me a bad feeling. I had good feelings about Kansas St. and Arizona this year, and those didn't exactly turn out well.

Did I miss the Kansas St game?

Excited about the game on Thursday night. If we manage to beat UTEP for a second time it will probably be impossible to beat them for a third time if meet in the tourney. That said it would be nice to win the regular season outright this year.

FYI - I was born in El Paso and my father got his masters degree in Aerospace from UTEP in the early 70's so I like the Miners too.

And, if you might remember, I had a pretty craptacular feeling about Xavier.

The school is closed for inclement weather today, and I am wondering the effect that will have on the crowd tomorrow. Coach White has expressed how important it is we have a tough environment for UTEP to play in, but this winter storm is unfortunately going to kill some of that.

We are wearing red jerseys at home for the first time in who knows how long.

I think the roads should be fine tomorrow night but who knows. So many people are taking a week off of work. My parking spot gets better every day.
