I was about to say...the games aren't comparable. Some games have been against Top 10 teams, others against some of the bottom teams in the country. The Record at this point is just that.

The real thing to track will be RPI as Conference play gets going.

It was nice seeing Southern beat up on Big 12 WVU. It's always nice defeating a mountaineer.

My top 5 are

1. StAte
2. Georgia Southern
3. Troy
4. South Alabama
5. UL.

I looked for a reason to not put us at number 2 but couldn't find it.

Our pitching has been intermittent at best but we can score and I don't think anyone other than StAte has done better than us.

I'd rank USA over Troy. Their wins over Auburn and Central Florida are more impressive than Troy's wins over Northwestern and Nichols at this point.

I put Georgia Southern at 2 primarily because of the Bethune Cookman Series. West Virginia may be a name, but they are not a baseball poweexactly.

stAte has two top 10 wins, and a series win over a strong MVC side. also has most road success. Georgia Southern has a sweep over a traditionally strong BCU side, and a decent series win over WVU. USA's wins over New Orleans don't mean much, but their wins over Auburn and UCF rank higher than Troy's scalps of Northwestern and Nichols.

Cajuns get 5th because both Stony Brook and UTSA are strong programs... I rank them higher than ULM because the Warhawks really have only beaten Stephen F Austin to this point. Both Texas State and UTA played strong schedules, but did not win their games.

Wow...I read that backwards. Ignore what I just said then. Nichols and Northwestern's combined weight beat out Auburn.

Yes and the sbc hasnt updated USAs record... It should read 4-3

Northwestern State is supposed to be pretty decent team this year. I believe they were picked 4th in the SLC which is a good league.

West Virginia is probably a mid-level Big. 12 team, so I'll take a series win.

Still hard to tell if Troy is a top 3 team. We have looked REALLY GOOD at times and not so much in others... Too many errors this early on.

Our win over Nicholls looks the best given Nicholls has a win over LSU.

Our 1 loss out of 4 to Northwesten state isn't bad considering they were decent last year , and losing to St Louis isn't a bad thing given they have a good program and have been to NCAA regionals in 2011 and 2013

Chapped me too, at first . . . U C Davis had a flight to catch (back to the left coast),so that game was started with a predetermined stop time, as it happened (when time was reached) we were tied . . .. Sucks, but considering our season so far, better than another probable loss . . .

Thank you for the OOC update as I was wondering about this today. Most of the league is over .500 after playing some decent competition. It's way too early to predict anything about baseball however. You can lose 20 games and still be a very good team.

Sitting at conference RPI 11 right now. I hope we can improve on that, but there have been some good wins so far. Ark. St. has the best series win so far, taking 2 of 3 over Louisville.

WVU just took 2/3 @ Clemson prior to facing us.
